Cookie Policy

This policy explains how everafterpress.co.uk and its subdomains (including Writer's Studio at studio.everafterpress.co.uk) use cookies and similar technologies such as local storage. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site remember information between visits. We use both, and this policy calls them all "cookies" for simplicity.

2. The cookies we use

• Strictly necessary (always on): cookies and local storage set by Firebase Authentication to keep you signed in securely, plus items that protect the Service against abuse (for example rate limiting and security checks). The Service cannot work without these, so they do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
• Functional: preferences such as your theme (light or dark), editor settings, autosaved drafts and interface state, stored in your browser's local storage so the Studio remembers how you left things.
• Payments: when you start a checkout or manage billing, Stripe sets cookies needed to process payment securely and prevent fraud. See Stripe's own cookie policy at stripe.com for details.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

3. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time (look for "cookies" or "site data" in your browser's privacy settings). If you block the strictly necessary ones you will not be able to stay signed in, and parts of the Service will stop working.
